As part of this lecture series, Dr. Allison Oakes, Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Plant Science and Biotechnology at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, will be presenting on “Reviving the American Chestnut” on February 8 from 7:00-8:30PM. The American Chestnut Research and Restoration Center at SUNY-ESF conducts research aimed at creating a blight-resistant American chestnut to reintroduce to American forests.
