Dear chestnut lovers:
On Thursday, July 5, we will be cutting up and removing downed trees from an orchard in The Plains. We cut down trees that didn’t have the genetics we are looking for for blight resistance, but were unable that day to cut up and haul off them off. We need to get them out of the orchard so it can be mowed. The landowner will provide a tractor and a wagon, but the Chapter needs to supply the labor. Your help will be hugely appreciated.
Date: July 5
Time: 9:00 – 11:00 (or until finished)
Location: Meet at the Marshall office (address below) and we will caravan/carpool to the site.
Thank you in advance,
Cathy
