Calling all Nature Lovers to Springside Park – July 18

If you’re a nature lover and appreciate the beauty and importance of forests, please consider joining us for Weeding Wednesdays at TACF’s seed production orchard at Springside Park, 874 North St. Pittsfield, MA between 6:30 and 8:00PM on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The purpose of this orchard is to produce the highest quality American chestnut seed to be used for reintroduction to the forests of the Berkshires.
No experience necessary, just a willingness to help maintain this orchard and participate in one of the most interesting and important conservation projects of our time, the restoration of the American chestnut tree. Be sure to wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring along water, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
