10th Annual West Virginia Chestnut Festival

The 10th annual West Virginia Chestnut Festival in Rowlesburg, WV will be held on Sunday, October 8 from 10:30am until 7:30pm. A full breakfast will be served in the River City Cafe from 10:30am until noon, and from noon until 5pm, several events will take place in scenic Rowlesburg Park, such as roasted chestnuts on the grill, display booths, chestnut furniture and collectibles, and other vendors. The Szilagyi Center for Visual and Performing Arts will be open with all the museums and classrooms available for visiting as well. Readings, meetings and programs pertaining to the chestnut will be from noon to 5pm. To end the day, a gala banquet featuring savory chestnut dishes will be served with a welcome and introduction of distinguished guests, crowning of “Mr. and Mrs. Chestnut” and featuring TACF’s Director of Restoration, Sara Fitzsimmons as keynote speaker.
